Main building in Salem Neufrach by night

Our motivation

It is important for us and our environment to minimise the use of chemicals.

Due to rising labour costs worldwide and the increasing difficulty in recruiting personnel for cultivation and harvesting, we see a great need for mechanisation in the area of special crops. We will rise to these challenges and continue to drive forward the development of environmentally friendly and cost-saving technology to reduce the use of chemicals.

We work closely with the growers based here and regularly provide them with prototypes to ensure the practical development of the machines. In this way, we ensure that we fulfil the requirements of the market and our customers.

We are located in the beautiful south of Germany, in the heart of the fruit-growing regions, in the immediate vicinity of Lake Constance.

Our history

Fruit Tec, owned by Adolf Betz, was founded in Deggenhausertal on 15 March 2007. The main activity of the company was the production and distribution of the mechanical blossom thinning machine DARWIN. Thanks to the quality of our work and the satisfaction of our customers, we were able to develop quickly and steadily. With the start of production of the EDWARD cutting machine, we moved to the Fritz Ziegler site in Markdorf in November 2010. With the introduction of the REDpulse defoliation machine in 2019, these premises also became too small, so we moved our production and administration to our new building in Salem-Neufrach at the beginning of 2021. In 2022, the sole proprietorship was transformed into Fruit Tec GmbH.

In addition to machines for fruit growing for thinning, cutting and defoliation, our repertoire also includes machines for removing excess side shoots and leaves in hops, as well as machines for gentle cane cleaning in viticulture. In the future, we will continue to do everything in our power to find further solutions and developments to simplify and mechanise work in the special crops sector.
